PhD Admission Notification: Admission to Ph.D. Programme in Society and Culture for the session 2023-2024. Online applications are invited in prescribed form (available on College website www.panskurabanamalicollege.org) for admission to Ph.D. Programme in Society and Culture under the Research Centre of Panskura Banamali College (Autonomous) affiliated to Vidyasagar University.
Subject wise intake capacity will be in Bengali-08, English-03, History-06, Philosophy- 02 and Santali-01.

Eligibility criteria for applications
A person who has obtained Master Degree or a degree deemed equivalent from any University
or Institution recognized by UGC, with a minimum of 55% (Unreserved category) or 50% (Reserved Categories) marks at the PG level is obtained is eligible for admission, provided that:
i. The candidate has completed at least a total of 5 years in UG and PG study in a recognized institute or university;
ii. The candidate is not currently admitted as a student in any full-time course of studies or registered for pursuing Ph.D. in any university;
iii. A candidate with regular M.Phil. (Completed before 2023) or candidates who qualified at the NET/SET/UGC-JRF or any other examination considered as equivalent, or candidates who qualified the Vidyasagar University RET, 2023-2024 are eligible to appear at the interview;
iv. Final semester PG students are also eligible to apply for the Ph.D. programme provided they have fulfilled the aforesaid requirements on or before the interview date.
