TET Exam: The Teacher Eligibility Test or TET exam for recruitment of primary teachers is not being conducted this year. The decision was taken by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education due to the delay in the recruitment of new primary schools, legal complications and the delay in the recruitment of qualified candidates.
Board president Gautam Pal said, "The court has asked to conduct TET examinations regularly. We will comply with that directive. There is a delay this year, but it will be taken up within the next 6 months.''
Central TET is conducted twice a year. Council president Gautam Pal informed that TET exam will be conducted every year in the state as well. However, the preliminary TET exam is not being conducted this year.
This year Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is not being conducted for recruitment of primary teachers. This is what the Board of Primary Education said on Monday. Primary Education Board President Gautam Pal blamed legal cases and non-appointment of previously passed job seekers as the reason for not taking TATE this time after two consecutive years of examination.
Incidentally, the job seekers who passed the TET in 2014 are still sitting on the dharna platform in Dharmatala demanding employment. They are continuously protesting for job demands. Apart from this, the job seekers of 2017 and 2022 are waiting. TET exam result 2023 is not released yet. In this situation, the current year's TET exam is not being conducted.
