Assistant Professor Recruitment: Job aspirants are demanding for the fast recruitment of post of Assistant Professor in the college. The term of the panel is coming to an end for the panel of college teacher recruitment candidates in various subjects. In this situation, the job aspirants demand that the West Bengal College Service Commission should start counseling with quick measures.
The job seekers are also going to stage a protest in front of the College Service Commission headquarters on Wednesday, demanding speedy counseling in the upcoming building in Newtown.
Job aspirants claim that there are fewer names on the panel this year than other years. Despite this, the commission is not giving the opportunity to recruit everyone through counselling. Moreover, the transfer without complying with the roster has also invalidated the vacancies in the colleges. As a result, many posts cannot be filled.
However, dismissing the allegations, Commission Chairman Deepak Kumar Kar said, 'Re-counseling of the subject panels which are expiring. These include panels on several topics issued on September 1 and September 8. A week before the expiration of the term, as requisitions or vacancies are coming from the colleges, counseling will be done accordingly. The chairman claimed that the transfer problem is also being resolved. He said, 'The vacancies are being sent after verifying the roster from the backward class welfare department. Counseling arrangements have already been made for several such posts.
Incidentally, the term of the panel on political science, history, economics and philosophy is going to end on August 31. Assistant professor candidates in these subjects are most anxious. According to the commission, counseling has already been done for 876 posts. After re-counseling that number will stand at over a thousand. There will be re-counseling on several subjects before the puja. In all 150 to 180 candidates are yet to be counselled.
