About 13,750 candidates out of 25,000 registered for the state-wide examination participated.   In Indore too, the situation mirrored the overall state trend, recording over 55% attendance.   The examination is conducted in two shifts from 10 am to 4 pm.

This was the second phase of MPPSC Assistant Professor recruitment exam.   The exam was held in four cities – Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur.

Examinations were held for a total of 744 teaching posts in eight subjects.   Chemistry (160 posts), Economics (104 posts), Geography (23 posts), Law (29 posts), Physics (115 posts), Political Science (118 posts), Sociology (80 posts), and Zoology (115 posts) in this phase.

In the previous phase held on June 9, recruitment tests were conducted in Botany, Commerce, Hindi, English, History, Home Science, Mathematics and Sanskrit.  Strict measures are taken to maintain the fairness of the examination.   Electronic devices were banned, and thorough checks were carried out at the entrance to each centre.  Additionally, jammers were deployed.   Each center had an observer and a senior professor from a government college to supervise the process.

Dr R Panchbhai, OSD, MPPSC said, “The examination was conducted smoothly.   No cases of cheating were reported but attendance was relatively low across the state."

In the previous phase on June 9, a total of 32,000 candidates were registered and 17,960 candidates appeared for the Assistant Professor recruitment exam conducted across nine cities of Madhya Pradesh.   This is the first time since 2017 that the Assistant Professor exam has been conducted.   According to the report, the MPPSC did not conduct the Assistant Professor recruitment exam from 1991 to 2017.  The recruitment test aims to fill 1,669 assistant professor posts in 34 subjects, the test process is divided into three phases.   The first phase included 826 posts and the final phase is expected to be completed by November.
