SSC Recruitment: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications for SSC Stenographer Exam 2024.  This recruitment process aims to fill 2006 vacancies for Grade C and Grade D Stenographers.   Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in. 

Candidates can send their online application on or before August 17.  The online correction window for errors in the application form, will open from August 27 to 28.  SSC Stenographer Exam 2024 will be held in October-November 2024.   The datesheet will be announced at the next stage of the recruitment process.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed class 12 examination from a recognized board.   Age limit for Grade C registration is 18 to 30 years (born between August 2, 1994 and August 1, 2006).   Whereas for Grade D registration it is 18 to 27 years (born between August 2, 1997 and August 1, 2006).

Selection test

The selection process includes a computer-based examination (CBE) followed by a skill test in stenography.   CBE will include General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and English Language and Comprehension.   There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.   Total exam duration is two hours and questions will be set in both Hindi and English.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official website - ssc.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the "Register" link in the "Login" section and register yourself.

Step 3: Candidates have to submit personal information including name, parents name, date of birth, email, mobile number etc.

Step 4: Submit the registration form. 

Step 5: Login using your given Registration ID, Date of Birth and Password

Step 6: Upload the scanned image and signature.

Step 7: Fill and submit Part 2 of the application form with required details.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

Application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs.100.   SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen and Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

SSC Stenographer Exam is a national-level competitive exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC).   This exam recruits Stenographers for Grade C (Group B Non-Gazetted) and Grade D (Group C) posts in various Ministries, Departments and Organizations of the Government of India. Stenographers help prepare official documents and perform clerical and administrative tasks.
