WBSSC: This time, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi stood by the NIOS DELED job candidates. He raised the issue of 12 lakh deprived job aspirants in Parliament, who did not get jobs even after completing D.El.Ed course.
In 2017, the central government issued a notification, which said that teachers from various government and private schools can pursue DELED courses from NIOS. Around 12 lakh students attended the course under such circumstances.
Government of India again issued another order stating that if the 2 year course is completed in 18 months, they will be eligible to teach in schools.
But in 2023 the Supreme Court issued an order and said, we cannot treat 2 years and 18 months as same. Those who have completed the course within 18 months will not be considered eligible for teaching posts.

Where will these 12 million students of the country go in such a situation? Because they have DELED NIOS on the instructions of the government.
In this situation, Congress demanded that the central government and the education ministry issue a gazette notification so that these 12 lakh students get justice.
