Teacher Recruitment: Govt starts recruitment of teachers for 16,000 vacancies

Teacher Recruitment: Chandrababu Naidu has just taken oath as Chief Minister.  And soon after coming to power, the Andhra Pradesh government issued an order (GO) aiming to complete the teacher recruitment process by the end of 2024.  Through which 16,347 vacant posts of teachers will be appointed. 


Chief Secretary Nirav Kumar Prasad has directed School Education Commissioner to oversee the Mega DSC (District Selection Committee) - 2024 and fill up the teacher posts by December 31, 2024.


Nirav Kumar Prasad was quoted by news agency PTI as saying, "The government has decided to fill (16,347) posts of teachers in school education and other line departments through Mega DSC - 2024." 


After assuming office on Thursday, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu fulfilled a campaign promise by approving the recruitment of 16,347 government teachers as his inaugural move.   Apart from this significant step, Naidu has green-lighted several other projects along with his election promises including increase in welfare pension and other key initiatives. 


Minister N Ramanaidu announced during a press conference at the Secretariat that the welfare pension for eligible beneficiaries has been increased by Rs 4,000 per month. Additionally, he said, each beneficiary will get Rs 7,000 as welfare pension on July 1, including Rs 1,000 for every month from April to June, increasing the pension amount by Rs 4,000.
