Om Birla's daughter Anjali Birla: Several viral social media posts have claimed that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's daughter Anjali Birla became an IAS officer without appearing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE). The post claimed that Anjali benefited from favoritism due to her father's position. It is said that he was directly selected in the UPSC reserve list through backdoor entry.

According to UPSC website, Anjali Birla appeared for CSE exam in 2019. His name and roll number - 0851876 can be found in the official list of candidates who cleared the UPSC CSE Prelims Exam 2019.
He then passed the written examination with 777 marks out of 1750 marks. Moreover, he scored 176 out of 275 marks in the interview round. His total marks were 953. However, his roll number was included in the reserve list released by UPSC.
It must be noted that the UPSC may release the reserve list as per Rule 16 (4) and (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, which are released in order of merit below the list last proposed to the UPSC.
Anjali Birla, IAS, currently working in the Ministry of Railways. He completed his schooling from Sophia School, Kota. He then graduated in Political Science from Ramjas College, Delhi University. He cleared UPSC in his first attempt.
