Assistant Professor Recruitment: Good news for job seekers. More recruitment is going to be done in West Bengal. A total of 20 posts including teaching doctors, medical technologists, pharmacists will be recruited. The State Health Department has decided to hire about 2,000 workers.
West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) informed this news on Tuesday. The recruitment process includes 1600 new posts and about 400 vacancies pending for polling. The activity has started with quick recruitment in the health department.
It is reported that the new recruitment includes recruitment of around 550 assistant professors in medical colleges. There are about 300 vacancies for the post of pharmacist. Around 700 are going to be recruited for various medical technologist posts. There are also several posts including Physiotherapist, Laboratory Assistant, Professor in Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri.
According to the Health Department, advertisements will be issued to fill these posts within the next one month. The department is moving towards completing the recruitment process by Puja. Recruitment Board Chairman Dr. Sudipta Roy said, "Our board is making regular permanent appointments as directed by the Chief Minister. For the past few months, the recruitment process had stalled due to the implementation of the Election Code of Conduct. There are no obstacles now.'
