NEET exam Supreme Court: The Center has informed the Supreme Court that it has decided to cancel the results of 1,563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates who were given grace marks.
In a statement to the court on Thursday, the Center announced that these 1,563 students will be re-examined. However, even after this decision, some of the candidates are not very happy. They claim that the NET exam questions are out. Moreover, there has been corruption in various examination centers. Various examinees from Bihar, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh preferred Exam Center Accounts of Gujarat, which they claim as no one normally does.
The Center said 1563 people will undergo NEET afresh. Exams of 1563 candidates who got grace marks have been cancelled. They will be re-examined on June 23. It has been informed that those who do not want to take the exam will be deducted the grace marks.
The petitioners requested to stay the counseling process. However, the Supreme Court refused to issue any order regarding the suspension of counselling. The judge observed, 'The entire examination should not be canceled for these few candidates. Counseling should be continued. No suspension is being given to it.'
Kingkar Adhikari, General Secretary of Shikshanuragi Oikya Manch said, "The Supreme Court canceled the exam of 1563 NEET candidates who got grace marks without canceling the entire exam. They will have to take the exam separately on June 23. Very good judgment of the Supreme Court. But such a big all-India one. Those involved in examination corruption should be given strict exemplary punishment. It should be ensured that children with genuine talent are not deprived in any way. This corruption will not be tolerated at the all India level in any case."
