NEET Paper Leak

NEET Paper Leak: Controversy over alleged paper leak over NEET UG exam 2024 continues.  The Examination Monitoring Unit (EU) has taken action by issuing notices to nine examinees on suspicion of involvement.

These candidates are residents of different districts of Bihar.   During their investigation, the police found out that the salver gang had the roll codes of 13 candidates.   Four of these candidates were arrested for allegedly leaking question papers.   The EOU has sought information from the National Testing Agency (NTA), about nine other candidates.

The salver gang accessed the roll codes of 13 candidates.  The authorities arrested four of these examinees in connection with the leak of question papers.   The EOU has approached the National Testing Agency (NTA) seeking more information about the remaining nine candidates.   The EOU is conducting a thorough investigation, having previously taken the suspects into their custody and interrogated them.

According to sources, NTA has issued EOUs with contact details including phone numbers and addresses of these candidates.   Notices have been sent to these addresses summoning the candidates and their guardians for questioning. Authorities are actively exploring possible links between the candidates and the Salvar gang   They are also probing whether the leaked question papers were distributed to these candidates before the exam.

So far, the police have arrested 13 people in connection with the paper leak.   Four of them are NEET UG aspirants, and others include their families and Salvar gang members.   The EOU is investigating the case thoroughly, and they have already interrogated them while in their custody.

In the meantime, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, "There is nothing to panic or worry.  There is no evidence of question paper leak yet.  Some complaints have been made.  Authorities are looking into the matter.  It should wait until the investigation is over.  The Supreme Court will give its verdict on July 8, till then we wait.  Nothing to hide…”
