DELED Admission: Very good news for the aspirants who want to become teachers in the first place. 2024-2026 academic year DELED course admission notification has been given. The admission process for DELED courses will continue as per the guidelines of the Board of Primary Education, the notification issued. The Board of Primary Education has published this notification. SeatsÂ
The total number of seats in 656 colleges across the state is about 38 thousand. Of these, 635 are Bengali medium colleges. There are also 11 Hindi medium colleges, 6 Nepali medium colleges and two Urdu medium colleges. There is one college each in Saotali and English medium.Â
Educational qualification
Applicants must have 50 percent or more marks in Higher Secondary Examination to get admission in this course. Chances will be given on the basis of marks obtained in the best of five subjects in higher secondary. However, marks in Environment among those top five subjects will not be accepted. There is 5 percent relaxation in marks for reserved candidates as per rules.Â
Age
Individuals below 35 years of age can apply for admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education (DELED) course. Regarding the admission, Gautam Pal, president of the Primary Education Board, said that the decision to take admission online has been taken to maintain transparency.
Application Process
Candidates have to apply online for admission in 2024-25 academic year. Apply by uploading age proof, high school mark sheet, passport size photograph and other important documents and certificates by going to the specific portal of the website of the Board of Primary Education. For this, one thousand rupees must also be submitted as application fee. Application started from 16th May and will continue till 31st May. For more details on this please visit the official website.
