Teacher Recruitment: Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023 Registration Deadline Extended Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply for the post of teacher can do so through the official website of DEE, Assam-dee.assam.gov.in.
As per the official notification, the last date for submission of online application for the post of Assistant Teacher in schools has been extended till 13 February 2024 at 10 PM. Must be permanent resident of Assam.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam and must have cleared the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET)/Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Age range
Applicant must not be less than 18 years of age as on January 1, 2023. Candidates age should not exceed 40 years for Unreserved Category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD). .

Vacancy
A total of 5,500 posts of Assistant Teachers will be filled in the state through this recruitment drive. Out of these, 1,750 vacancies are for Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher posts in Upper Primary (UP) schools and 3,800 vacancies are for Assistant Teacher posts in Lower Primary (LP) schools.
