Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has started the enrollment process for PhD in various disciplines. Interested candidates should apply online only.
Subject
Admission will be taken in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture and Regional Planning, Humanities and Social Sciences, Rural Development, Law, Management and Medicine. All branches have multiple departments/schools/centres. Opportunities will be given to conduct research on various subjects in the respective Departments/Schools/Centres. Apart from students with certain qualifications, professionals working in various organizations can also apply for PhD in the institute.
Educational qualification
 In order to apply for PhD in various disciplines, one must have certain marks in graduation or post graduation. Must have educational qualification prescribed by UGC. Detailed information is mentioned in the original notification.
Application Process
Interested candidates should visit the website of the institution and apply with all the documents. Reserved and unreserved categories have to deposit Rs.500 and Rs.1000 respectively as application fee. The last date for online application is March 15.
Selection process
Applicants will be admitted on the basis of overall academic performance, written test and interview. Written test and interview will be organized in the institution from 2nd May to 15th May. Admission of the selected candidates to the PhD program will be from July 15. Please visit the official website for details.
