Jadavpur University PhD Admission: Jadavpur University Admission to the Ph.DProgramme, session, January, 2024. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for admission to the Ph.D. programme in the Departments of Comparative Literature, Economics, English, History, International Relations, Library & Information Science, and Philosophy.
Eligible criteria for admission to Ph.D. Programme
• All applicants must have completed results of 2-Year MA or equivalent degree from any university/institute recognized by the UGC with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer) / Differently -Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC/AICTE/State Government from time to time.
• Applicants who have obtained an MA or equivalent degree of less than two (2) years' duration, must have completed at least a total of five (5) years of under-graduate and post-graduate study in a recognized university/institute.

• Candidates have to pay the application fees Rs. 500/- (Per Subject) online through SBI Collect System using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
After payment the downloaded form along with an online payment) receipt and all testimonials is to be submitted to the Committee Room no.- III, Subarna Jayanti Bhavan, 1st floor, Jadavpur University Main campus, Kolkata 700032. Without online payment receipt no application be accepted.

• The last date for online payment is 27.02.2024.
The last date for submission of application form is 29.02.2024 upto 04:00 pm. [Time: 11:00 am - 02:00 pm & 03:00 pm-04:00 pm except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays]
• University is not liable for any postal delay. No application form will be accepted after due date.
• Incomplete application in any manner will be rejected.
