News Desk: The Allahabad High Court has reserved its decision on the petition filed in Uttar Pradesh's 69,000 teacher recruitment case. The hearing of the petition filed in this case was going on in the division bench of Justice Sourav Shyam.
According to the petition filed in the court, on May 12, 2020, the result of 69 thousand Assistant Teacher Recruitment Exam 2019 in UP was released by the Secretary Exam Control Authority. On 16 May 2020, the Secretary Basic Education Council released the date of counseling to proceed with the recruitment process where the provision of reservation for EWS category candidates was not mentioned. An appeal was made against it.
The petitioners said that as per the roster, there should be 10 per cent reservation for EWS category candidates. But it was not kept. The High Court heard the arguments of both sides. After the hearing, the High Court reserved the verdict. The verdict could be any day.
Recently, the candidates sat on dharna outside the residence of the Primary Education Minister. UP Govt Primary Education Minister Sandeep Singh. On January 5, 2021, 6800 reserved category merit list was released. Candidates have been protesting at Eco Garden for the last 606 days, but so far no appointment has been made to the post of teacher.
