Assistant Teacher Recruitment

Assistant Teacher Recruitment: Good news for job aspirants.  Neighboring state Bihar is recruiting a large number of vacant posts of teachers.  The Bihar education department on Friday sanctioned 86,476 posts of teachers in the third phase in Bihar, an official said.  Eligible job aspirants from entire state including Bengal can participate in this recruitment process.


Regarding the appointment, he said, "The Department of Education has sent the details to the General Administration Department for approval.  After approval, it will be sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for implementation."


He further said that 28,028 posts have been sanctioned for class I to V and 19,057 posts have been sanctioned for class 6 to 8.  17,018 posts for 9 and 10;  And 22,373 posts have been sanctioned for class 11 and 12.


No additional age relaxation is given to the candidates.  In the first and second phase, BPSC age was relaxed by 10 years for women.  Many students said that they missed the opportunity as age relaxation was not given in Phase III.


According to the notification, the upper age limit for unreserved category was 37 and OBC-EBC 40 years and for SC/ST candidates was 42 years.


Rajendra resident Rajendra Singh said, "We are appealing to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to intervene in this matter and give fair chance to all candidates. The BPSC chairman must also be impartial and take a good view in our recruitment."


BPSC issued the notification on February 3.  Last date for form filling is 23 February.  The exams will be held from March 7 to 17 this year.
