The West Bengal College Service Commission will complete the recruitment for the post of assistant professor before the Lok Sabha polls.  Since last September, the merit panel for the appointment of Assistant Professor has started to be published for more than 1000 vacant posts.  More than 32 thousand Assistant Professor candidates participated.  But this time the job seekers are disappointed by the vacancies.

The recruitment of assistant professors in 450 government sponsored colleges will be completed within the month of April.  In this regard, the College Service Commission has said that 90 percent of the interview process for the recruitment of assistant professors has been completed.  There are 100 to 150 Assistant Professor vacancies remaining, the recruitment process of which will be completed soon.  Recruitment of assistant professors in about 40 subjects is going on.
