Fire Operator Recruitment: The undersigned is directed to refer his Memo No. WBFES/3323/2023 dated 21.07.2023 on Direct recruitment to the post of Fire Operator under the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services and to state that after careful consideration, the Govt has decided to fill up 1000 (one thousand) vacant posts, at this stage, in the rank of Fire Operator in the West Bengal Fire & Emergency Services under this Department, by direct recruitment through Public Service Commission, West Bengal. 

This has the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their UIO No Group P2/2023-2024/0645 dated 03.10.2023 and approval of the cabinet in the meeting held on 27.12.2023, vide U/O No. Cab(D)-857 dated 30.12.2023.

Accordingly, the undersigned is also directed to request him to forward the proposal immediately for filing up of 1000 (one thousand) vacant posts by direct recruitment through PSC. West Bengal with requisition form for advertisement, break up of roster points, recruitment rules etc. to enable this Department to move the Commission for taking further necessary action.
