RPSC Recruitment 2024 Age Limit
Candidates should be between 21 to 40 years of age. Reserved job candidates will get age relaxation as per government norms.
Assistant Professor recruitment application fee
SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved category applicants have to pay Rs.400 at the time of application, whereas general/unreserved category candidates must pay Rs.600 as examination fee.

What is the qualification for Assistant Professors?
A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Passed NET/ SET or compilted PHD.
Is PhD compulsory for Assistant Professor?
No, It is not compulsory. UGC NET is minimum criteria for applying for Assistant Professorship in colleges/universities. No, a Ph. D. is not necessary after qualifying the UGC NET exam. The UGC NET qualification itself is a recognized eligibility criteria for the appointment of Assistant Professors in universities and colleges in India.
What is the maximum age to become assistant professor?
There is age limit for the Post of Assistant Professor in India. The candidates who are applying for the Post of Assistant Professor can apply as per the eligibility criteria set by the University, College or Institute. In West Bengal maximum age 40 years. Relaxation of upper age for reserved candidates.
