Teacher Recruitment: Good news for job aspirants. In Bihar, teachers will be recruited in the third phase soon. The education department has started preparations in this regard. After the recruitment of teachers in the first phase and the second phase, the education department has estimated that 20-25 thousand posts of teachers are vacant in government schools.
In view of this, information has been sought from all the districts within two days about the actual vacancies of teachers in primary, secondary and higher secondary schools of the state. Disciplinary action has been directed against the district education officer who unduly delays in giving this information.

Director of Secondary Education Kanhaiya Prasad Srivastava on Tuesday announced the vacancies for teachers in classes 1 to 5 (primary), classes 6 to 8 (middle), classes 9 to 10 (secondary) and classes 11 to 12 (higher secondary). All the districts have been directed to provide the information on the Education Department email id.
In this regard, he has written to all district education officers and asked them to fill the information sent in the format of how many teacher posts are vacant in any subject. All vacancies will be reviewed at Education Department level after receipt.
After that, the department will send a request to the Bihar Public Service Commission for recruitment to the subject wise vacancies of teachers. Preparations are underway to send this requisition at the departmental level by February 10.
Exam preparation is already underway, officials are gearing up to facilitate the upcoming recruitment. This phase of TRE will cover vacancies from Primary to XII. The official notification, expected to be published by February 15, will invite applications for the remaining vacant posts from the previous phase.
The exam will be conducted offline. For primary teachers, the test has language and general studies sections, with a total of 220 questions. Secondary school teacher applicants face three sections covering language, basic mathematics, reasoning, general awareness, and a selected subject, totaling about 150 questions. Secondary school teacher candidates also tackle 150 questions across English, General Studies and their chosen subjects. Similarly applicants for Higher Secondary School Teacher posts must answer 150 questions in English, General Studies and their specialization.
