3800 Assistant Professors Recruitment in various subjects through a written test and interview

Haryana Govt College Recruitment for the post of Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor Recruitment: Good news for job aspirants.  Haryana Govt College Recruitment for the post of Assistant Professor has been cleared.  The process is now being fast-tracked after the cabinet approved the amendment to the recruitment rules.  More than 3800 Assistant Professor posts are vacant in Government Colleges of Haryana.  The government has revised the recruitment rules to fill these posts.  After the Cabinet's approval, the recruitment process is now being fast-tracked.


Although more than 3800 posts of assistant professors are vacant in government colleges of the state, the government will not directly recruit all these posts.  For this, the government has decided to determine how many posts will be appointed on the basis of student-professor ratio.  The state government has fixed the pay scale of Rs 57,400 to Rs 1,82,400 for the post of Assistant Professor.  The higher education department can send a request letter for recruitment to the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) by the second week of February.


After the cabinet approval of the amendment to the recruitment rules, the notification is in progress.  The government is sending the full report to legal experts to avoid any hindrance later.  The government will inform it once it gets a green signal from there.  After that a decision will be taken on how many assistant professors will be recruited from the state.


3000 vacancies are wanted for the post of assistant professor


According to higher education sources, the department may send a letter to the government for the appointment of 3,000 posts.  Meanwhile, the department is preparing.


These include 18 in Environmental Science, 09 in Biotechnology, 128 in Botany, 278 in Chemistry, 370 in Commerce, 178 in Computer Science, 23 in Defense Studies, 72 in Economics, 2 in Electronics, 610 in English, 7 in Arts, 387 in Geography, 261 in Hindi, 150 in History, Domestic of science  There are 33, Management 05 and Mass Communication 18 posts.


Besides 322 in Mathematics, 01 in Microbiology, 07 in Music (I).  Music includes 10 (B), Philosophy 06, Physiology 106, Physics 232, Political Science 126, Psychology 101, Public Administration 01, Punjabi 33, Sanskrit 37, Sociology 04, Statics 03, Tourism 06, Urdu 01 and Zoology 123.

The Selection Process for HPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2023 includes the following Stages:

Stage-1: Written Exam (87.5% Weightages)

Stage-2: Interview (12.5% Weightage)

Stage-3: Document Verification (DV)

Stage-4: Medical Examination


What is the qualification for Assistant Professors?

A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Passed NET/ SET or compilted PHD.


Is PhD compulsory for Assistant Professor?

No, It is not compulsory. UGC NET is minimum criteria for applying for Assistant Professorship in colleges/universities. No, a Ph. D. is not necessary after qualifying the UGC NET exam. The UGC NET qualification itself is a recognized eligibility criteria for the appointment of Assistant Professors in universities and colleges in India.


What is the maximum age to become assistant professor?

There is age limit for the Post of Assistant Professor in India.
