Assistant Professor Recruitment: Good news for job aspirants. The Center for Studies in Social Sciences, Kolkata (CSSSC) has notified the recruitment of multiple vacancies. Applications are invited for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Interested job candidates can apply.
Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors will be appointed in the following branches-
Cultural Studies, Development/Environmental Studies, Gender Studies, Geography, Economics, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology and Social Anthropology. Total Vacancies to be filled: Professor-7 (General-4, SC-2, ST-1); Associate Professor-2 (General-1, SC - 1); and Assistant Professor-2 (OBC-2).
Educational Qualification
Applicants must fulfill all UGC criteria and norms for the post they are applying for. PhD in Social Sciences or Humanities is desirable for the post of Assistant Professor. Shortlisted applicants will be required to present a seminar as part of the selection process.
Pay Scale
The pay scale of these posts is as follows
Prof: PB 4: 37400 - 67000 + 10000 AGP;Â Associate Professor: PB 4: 37400-67000 + 9000 AGP;Â & Assistant Professor: PB 3: 15600-39100 + 6000 AGP l.
Allowance will be given as per Central University rules adopted by CSSSC.
