WBSSC: The long eight-year wait is over.  The School Service Commission or SSC is going to start counseling for upper primary from November 6.  It is known from SSC sources that the job seekers who are looking forward to participate in that counseling will come not only from this state, but also from other states and even abroad.

The court ordered that the School Service Commission can do counseling if it wants.  In other words, the commission can start the selection process of who will go to which school in the merit list.  However, the order to give their recommendation letter has not come yet.

The West Bengal School Service Commission has informed that the counseling process will start from November 6.  It will continue until December 2.  Counseling for the recruitment of upper primary teachers will be held in the office of the West Bengal School Service Commission itself.  Address is - West Bengal Central School Service Commission Office, 2nd Campus Block: DK-7/2. School Service Commission has published the merit list of 13,339 people.  Since 2014, the recruitment process for higher primary is going on.  There are more than 14 thousand vacancies in this recruitment.  Earlier, the merit list prepared for the recruitment was published but it was canceled due to corruption allegations.  The panel has been published again after conducting a new interview.  Schools are suffering from lack of teachers due to lack of recruitment for a long time.  The job aspirants demand that the job system should be accepted immediately by giving the nomination letter (Joining) to the eligible candidates to go to the school.

The School Service Commission (WBSSC), however, said counseling is not a job.  Recommendation letter will not be given on the day of counselling.  Candidates can only select their school.  The case is going on.  As a result, the recommendation letter will be given as per the order of the court.  The commission will proceed as directed by the court.
