WBSSC: Speculation has been created among the government employees of the state regarding the 25th September holiday.  Will there really be a holiday that day?  Many are asking questions on social media.  Earlier Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced holiday for Karam Puja and Sabebrat.  Following the Chief Minister's announcement, Navanna has issued a notification regarding the holiday on the occasion of Karam Puja.  Besides, Board of Secondary Education has also given holiday notice.  As a result, September 25 is a holiday in the state.

The Chief Minister also said, 'We observe everything.  We think that Bengal is the meeting place of everything in Sarvadharma Sarvakarma.  Bengali does not deprive anyone.  But now if someone thinks that there is something or other for 365 days, we cannot give it.  So when will the work be done?  But if you work well, you can expect a good holiday.

At the same time, the Chief Minister said, "Those who are government employees can expect a holiday on a special day if they do good work.  Maternity leave in our state is 731 days.  There is also a month of paternity leave.  We do as much as possible."

Besides, Mamata mentioned that in this state girls are given maternity leave of 731 days.  Also one month paternity leave is given.  The Chief Minister reminded, there are also many dates in the calendar, Puja, Eid, Dol, Chhath – Thirteen Parbans in twelve months in Bengal.
