SSC: Not everyone will have a job! Chairman Siddharth Majumder revealed about the appointment of teachers

Siddharth Majumder

WBSSC: After a long wait, the School Service Commission has finally released the Upper Primary panel.  The exam was conducted in 2014.  Finally on August 23, 2023, the School Service Commission published the panel.  13 thousand 334 merit list has been released for 14 thousand 339 vacancies.  SSC has released separate merit list and waiting list for more than 11 subjects.  But even if the panel is published, it cannot be appointed now.  Court permission is required for this.

The Chairman of the School Service Commission, Siddharth Majumder, said that the recruitment matter is still pending before the court.  Several cases are going on regarding the issue.  On August 16, the court allowed the publication of the panel and waiting list of upper primary.  The hearing of this case is on the next 30th.  Then if the next steps are allowed, we will start the process of counseling and giving letters of recommendation.

According to SSC Chairman, one panel and waiting list has been published for each subject.  According to the notification, the announced vacancies were more than 14 thousand.  But the names on the panel are more than 13 thousand.  However, the SSC chairman said this does not mean that everyone on the panel will get appointed.  Some people will definitely not get a job.  But everyone will get job in some subjects.

Regarding this, SSC Chairman Siddharth Majumdar said that there are panels of multiple categories.  In many cases, there are more names in the panel than there are vacancies in the respective category.  Again in many cases there are categories where there is no name in the panel.  In that case the vacancies in that category remain vacant.  That is, the shortlist of the panel from the announced vacancies does not mean that everyone on the panel will get appointed.
