WBSSC: Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay expressed some disappointment this time. What to do if the hands and feet are tied! The judge spoke his mind after hearing the suspension order in Manik's case.
The judge ordered state MLA Manik Bhattacharya, arrested in the recruitment case, to be sent to jail for questioning. The Supreme Court has given a stay order. Calcutta High Court Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay sounded a bit disappointed while talking about it while sitting in his courtroom in Kolkata. Referring to the instructions, he said, "If my hands are tied again, I will not be able to do anything." I can make some requests to the Supreme Court.
On Thursday, Justice Gangopadhyay said, "I don't understand how the case can be stayed even after those who have accepted bribes!"
The judge asked Manik to go to jail for questioning in the school teacher posting corruption case. Hearing the judge's comments on Thursday, lawyer Vikasaranjan Bhattacharya said, "Recently the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said that the trial process of any case should not be prolonged for the sake of natural justice."
Another lawyer said about this, "Many people have lost sleep because of what you have done, Dharmavatar. The Chairman of the District Primary Education Sangsad cannot sleep at night after your instructions in my case.”

In response, Justice Gangopadhyay said, "I will not tolerate any mischief with citizens. Why should ordinary people run to court? Why do not government officials do their job? It's not my choice. If no one can sleep under my orders, then I will say that the dignity of the High Court is intact. Still afraid of the High Court order.”
