WBSSC: Good news for job seekers. The assistant professor recruitment panel is going to be published in this month or in September. This news has been informed by College Service Commission sources. Assistant professors will be appointed in general colleges of the state.
The commission had started interviewing around 33,000 candidates since last year for appointment as assistant professors. That job is almost done. It is reported that this time the vacancies will be around 3000 to 3500. This vacancy is considered good enough. WBCSC is going to publish the panel to fill these posts. Recruitment of assistant professors will start through counseling from that panel.
It is known that the panel for the subjects in which the number of applicants is less will be published first. Then the panels on other topics will be released step by step.
On the other hand, the commission is going to take sets in 33 subjects this year. Many subjects are likely to have question papers in Bengali. There are examination centers in every district. General category students can apply for this exam if they get 55 percent or more marks in Master's degree.
This year's State Eligibility Test (SET) will be held on December 17. This exam is conducted every year by the College Service Commission for the recruitment of researchers and assistant professors. Last time around 85 thousand candidates applied in SET. This year, the number is likely to increase further. The application has already started. Will continue till August 31.
