WBSSC: TET certificate is valid for lifetime. The School Service Commission (SSC) informed the Calcutta High Court. Calcutta High Court informed SSC that a notification has been issued to make all TET certificates issued after 2011 valid for life.
The Calcutta High Court has been informed by the SSC that a notification has been issued to make all TET certificates issued since 2011 valid for life. So far the certificate was valid for seven years. But in accordance with the central government's guidelines, the High Court Justice Biswajit Bose had earlier ordered that the validity of the certificate be made for life in this state as well.
The state told the court that it had issued a notification last month asking those who obtained their TET certificate after 2011 to submit it.
Earlier, High Court Justice Biswajit Bose had ordered to make the validity of the certificate for life in this state also in accordance with the guidelines of the central government.
Soumyajit Ghoshal and Tanushree Swarnakar, lawyers of Sangeeta Sutradhar, who filed the case in the bench of Justice Biswajit Bose on Tuesday, said, “The state has issued a notification only last month to those who got TET certificate after 2011, submitted it. SSC will verify the information and issue a certificate valid for life.”
