WBSSC: The Supreme Court has given an important verdict on primary recruitment. Dismissing the order of the High Court, the Supreme Court ruled that only DELED trained can participate in the primary teacher recruitment process. BED trained will not get a chance. The directive mentions that job aspirants with BEd training can apply for jobs in high schools.
Now the latest order regarding the appointment of primary teachers given by the Supreme Court has been uploaded on the website of NCTE. The Supreme Court of the country has disqualified the B.ED job candidates for primary teacher recruitment. That order was uploaded today. It is known that NCTE may soon announce new guidelines for the recruitment of primary teachers.
Calcutta High Court Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay, in a case after the recruitment scam in the state came to light last year, ordered that B.D. trainees can also apply for entry-level jobs. But as a result of the new judgment of the Supreme Court's division bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia, the order was dismissed.
2018 NCLT notification dismissed by Supreme Court. With that notification, NCLT said that B.D. trainees across the country can also become primary teachers, but after recruitment they have to do a bridge course of 6 months. 5 long years of complications are over.
Several cases have been filed in various states alleging that DELED candidates are being deprived in the recruitment of primary teachers. The Rajasthan High Court ruled in favor of DLD candidates. However, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has not given such a verdict. A case related to this was also filed in the court in Bengal.
Big win for Bstc/DELED job candidates in Supreme Court. The Supreme Court rejected the gazette notification dated 28 June 2018 issued by NCTE. As a result Bstc/DELED job aspirants got big win. The appeals of Government of India, BED and NCTE are dismissed. The decision of the Rajasthan High Court was correct. As a result of this judgment, the recruitment of BED job candidates to the primary teaching posts was somehow stopped.

It should be noted that after the publication of the merit list of 16,500 primary teachers, the controversy continued to increase. After the publication of this merit list, a section of DLed trainees started to feel that they have been deprived. Their claim is that candidates who have received B.D. training illegally have been given an opportunity, excluding those who received D.L.D. training. While DLed training is mandatory for teaching primary students, opportunities are given to BEd job seekers for primary recruitment. Such serious complaints have been made by DLed trained job aspirants. After that some candidates approached the court. The Supreme Court has said that the candidates for BED jobs are ineligible in the first place.
