WBSSC: The appointment of BED job candidates for the post of primary teachers has been stopped by the order of the Supreme Court. The highest court of the country has said that the job candidates who have done BED in the post of primary teachers are not eligible. However, as per NCTE norms 2018, the state has already recruited many teachers who have BED.
As per NCTE norms these teachers have to undergo a bridge course of six months within 2 years. However, it was not done. A case has already been filed in the court of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay.
Meanwhile, West Bengal School Education Department issued an important notice today. BEd (Special Education)/ D.Ed. The school education department wants to know the actual number of teachers who are teaching in primary with (Special Education) degree, who have not yet done the bridge course.
The notice directed all the DPSC chairmen of the state, that all the teachers with B.Ed (Special Education)/ D.Ed. (Special Education) qualification and subsequently have not completed 6 months bridge course in primary education in a recognized institution as per NCTE guidelines as per NCTE norms, are requested to state the exact no. The matter is said to be very urgent.
