Notice vide memo No.720/6088/CSSC/ESTT/2023 dated 30.06.2023 on validity of TET Certificate. 
NOTICE
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) vide letter no. NCTE-reg1011/78/2020-US(Regulation)-HQ/99954-99992 dated 09.06.2021, has informed that the second sentence of para 11 of its letter no: 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad dated 11.02.2011 which is ‘The validity period of TET qualifying subject for appointment shall be decided by the appropriate Government subject to a maximum of seven years for all categories’, shall be substituted by ‘validity period of TET qualifying subject for appointment, unless otherwise notified by the appropriate Government, would remain valid for life.’ Since the above memo of National Council for Teacher Education has been duly communicated vide Memo No: 822-SE/SED-17099/70/2023-LAW SEC-Dept. of SE dated 13.06.2023 of School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, it has been decided that the validity period of Certificates of Teacher Eligibility Test, already issued by the West Bengal School Service Commission, would be extended to remain valid for life irrespective the period mentioned therein.
