Recruitment of more than thousand vacancies through SSC, good news for job aspirants

WBSSC: Good news for job seekers.  Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification to fill the vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer (JE).  Last date to apply is August 16.  Central government departments, Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Military Engineer Services (MES), Border Roads Organization (BRO) and various other departments are recruiting for 1,324 posts. 

Applicants can visit the official website and apply at www.ssc.nic.in.

 Important dates

 Applications open on July 26.

 Application deadline is August 16.

 Correction window: August 17 to 18.

 Possible exam dates are 9, 10 and 11 October

 Application fee

 Applicants have to pay Rs.100 as application fee.

 Applicants belonging to SC/ST/PWD category are exempted from payment of application fee.

 Female applicants and ex-servicemen are also exempted.

 Age criteria

Minimum age for application is 18 years and maximum age allowed is 32 years.  Age relaxation is applicable as per government policy.  Candidates are advised to visit the official website for more details.

 Educational qualification

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech.) from a recognized university.  Engineering disciplines include civil, electrical, mechanical, quantity surveying and contracting.  For more information regarding educational qualification for various posts, check the official notification.

The application should be submitted in online mode only on the official website of SSC Headquarters;  For example, https://ssc.nic.in.  Before submitting the application form, the candidate should ensure that the photograph is uploaded as per the given instructions.  If the photograph is not uploaded by the candidate in the desired format, his/her application/candidature will be rejected or cancelled.
