WBSSC: 'Sell Adani to the school...', angry Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay said after seeing the 'plight' of the teachers. Eastern Coalfield has 9 schools in Jharkhand and 7 in West Bengal. A case was filed in the Calcutta High Court regarding non-payment of salaries to the teachers working in this school.
Today Monday, the case was heard in the bench of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay. During the hearing of the case, expressing anger about Eastern Coalfield, the angry judge's question to Eastern Coalfield was, 'The nectar festival of independence is being celebrated in the country and this is the condition of the teachers? Can any civilized citizen tolerate this? If you can't run the school, sell Adani.'
Then Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay ordered to submit 4 lakh 80 thousand rupees to the Registrar General of Calcutta High Court regarding the salary of the teachers and said, '4 lakh 80 thousand rupees should be submitted to the Registrar of Calcutta High Court. With this money, all the teachers will be paid a total salary of 5000 thousand for 3 months and 15 thousand. If you want money, close the school. Don't make the teachers cry.'
The lawyer of Eastern Coalfield told him that these teachers are not permanent employees and they will have trouble paying the fine. In response, the judge said, 'If there is a problem, there is nothing to do. You are very reckless about not paying the teachers.' The judge also warned to order a CBI investigation into the incident.
